Principal Search

Ridgeview Christian School is seeking a faith-filled, servant-hearted leader who excels in listening, leading, and fostering the tremendous culture we enjoy at our school. They will mentor staff, engage families, and lead with integrity. They will guard the mission, vision, and culture of Ridgeview Christian School while leading our school into the future.

In early June we sent surveys to our Families and our Staff. After compiling the results, here are the summaries of that feedback:

A Principal Search Advisory Team has been assembled to assist in the search for our next Principal. This team includes deacons, church staff, and former educators who all have personal connections to the school.

Resumes and inquiries can be submitted to info@ridgeviewchristian.com

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the next principal of Ridgeview Christian School will be a mature and devoted follower of Jesus Christ, someone who lives out a vibrant and visible faith. This individual will either be a current member of Ridgeview Baptist Church or willing to join in order to serve fully within the spiritual and cultural life of the ministry here at Ridgeview. Full alignment with the church’s Statement of Faith is essential, ensuring that the principal’s leadership is grounded in a biblical worldview and consistent with the theological convictions of the greater ministry. This individual will report to Pastor Jeremy Woody, Senior Pastor of Ridgeview Baptist Church.

This leader will bring a blend of both professional experience and ministry-mindedness. Prior leadership experience—especially in education or Christian ministry—will give the candidate the tools to shepherd both staff and students well. The ideal principal will be someone who can communicate truth with love, maintain a gracious presence, and inspire those around them with integrity, wisdom, and humility. They will be able to connect meaningfully with students of all ages—from kindergarten through high school—earning the respect and trust of parents, faculty, and students alike.

Ridgeview Christian School thrives on a culture of being “lovingly professional.” The next principal should embody that spirit, handling discipline with personal care and consistency, balancing firmness with warmth. They must be able to manage the creative tensions that often arise in school leadership: truth and grace, structure and flexibility, stewardship and excellence. This includes knowing when to prioritize the needs of the individual and when to uphold what’s best for the group; when to encourage and support and when to challenge for improvement. The next principal must lead with both vision and practicality, drawing from biblical wisdom to cultivate a flourishing, Christ-centered school community.

At the same time, the next principal must come with a posture of humility and curiosity—willing to listen, observe, and learn what makes Ridgeview’s culture so special. They must seek to understand and protect the non-negotiable values that define our community, such as our Christ-centered foundation and “3rd Place” strategy and our strong sense of relational connection. While honoring what has been faithfully built, they should also have the courage and clarity to lead us into the future, helping Ridgeview grow in strength, excellence, and impact in the years ahead.

A little context

Pastor Don’s last Sunday as Senior Pastor will be August 31st. Jeremy Woody will be installed as the new Senior Pastor on Sunday, September 21st.

The next principal of Ridgeview Christian School will be supported and led by  Jeremy Woody, who as Senior Pastor will serve the school as Administrator. With this role, Pastor Jeremy will continue to have an impact on the school in areas of Spiritual and Vision Leadership.
