What a Start

What a Start

I’m not going to lie; August was chaotic. As a school administrator, August is always hectic and crazy busy. But this year felt different. We have a lot of new families who have joined us and several new staff members. Early in August, I was asked if I was stressed about it. I knew that God would provide, but I have to admit that I was getting really curious about how He would provide all of our needs. While we are still hiring for some positions, God showed us again how truly good He is.

These first two weeks have been an incredibly smooth start compared to the lead-up to the first day of school. Our teachers, support staff, and Leadership Team stepped up in a huge way, and I am so thankful to God for every one of them. God is truly good. I am also very thankful for every family He has sent our way. I believe God sent you here to us, whether this is your first year with us or your 20th. Even our first two weeks of Carline have been relatively smooth.

We have some great wisdom in our veteran teachers and families. And we have some tremendous youthful excitement and energy in our new staff and families. God has brought it all together for this year. The future is bright for Ridgeview. We have a lot to share with you in the coming weeks about plans being made for our bright future. 188 students are learning about the whole world and everything in it from a Biblical worldview from people who love the Lord and their students. Who pray for them and seek their best. And who are supported by an entire team of support staff who also love the Lord and aim to love, serve, and lead like Jesus. What more could we ask for?

We are truly blessed.

While we are truly blessed, we know that honoring God with everything means we want to continue improving in all areas of our school. I am thankful for a team working on specific areas of improvement as we speak. I am excited to say that we are looking further ahead than ever while also learning more deeply from our current state. We are learning from our mistakes and putting processes in place to prevent them in the future. Will we continue to make mistakes? Absolutely. We want to make new mistakes, not repeat old ones.

That is why I want you to know that I want to hear from you. Have you seen something that doesn’t make sense? Do you see something that doesn’t seem to align with who we esteem to be as a school? Do you see something that could be improved on? Please let me know.

The future is bright at RCS.
